July

My camera is still missing. :-( Looks like I'll be purchasing a new one next weekend if it doesn't miraculously appear sometime this week. Monetary donations and suggestions are welcome!

I use this blog as a journal. I want to be able to look back and remember all of the wonderful events of my life. Unfortunately, I have no pictures to go with these past few weeks, but I shall try to catalog them anway.

I spent July 4th in Oxford with my sweet boyfriend. We ate a late breakfast, went antique shopping for my room in my new apartment, spent a few hours at our friends' condos at The Mark, ate ribs, shopped for a grill, and then went to watch fireworks at the baseball stadium. It was a very fun day. I missed spending time with my family, but life is changing and new traditions will start to replace the old.

This week at work we took the kids to the Clay Canvas. They loved painting pottery. All of us teachers want to go back and make something for ourselves too! Those kids still drive me crazy everyday, and I will be glad when this summer is over. Each paycheck makes it a little easier though.

Friday night Evan and I had dinner with Mike and Cheryl at 208. Great food and wonderful time spent together. After that, we walked the square for a little while.

Yesterday, (Saturday) Evan came to Pontotoc. He HATES small town Mississippi, so it means so much to me when he comes. We went fishing at my grandparent's, ate sno cones, hung around my parent's house, ate dinner with my mom, and even spent a little time with Will and his friend Jen. It was a good Saturday.

This week should be exciting too. I have another field trip with the kids, I am going to a VERY exciting book signing at Off Square Books, and I'll be working on my shutters and large frame that I picked up at the antique store on the 4th.
