Counting down!

We are counting down to quite a few things around here!

1. Spring Semester Completion

15 more days!! I can't believe I only have 3 more weeks left at NMMC. Am I sad? No. Excited? Yes!

2. Graduation

May 11th at 11:15 AM!

Excited? Beyond!

3. Will and Ashley's Wedding!

We had a shower last weekend in Pontotoc and had another today in Auburn. I know these are such exciting times for them, and I am so glad I get to share in the experience with them. I am picking up my "groomsmaid" dress this week. :-)

4. Amy finds a job

Okay so there really isn't a countdown to this one, but I am excited about its upcoming. I have no idea when I will find a job or where I will find a job. I have applied and applied and applied. I have my fingers crossed for a *few* jobs, but who knows... I'm just praying and trusting that the right doors will be opened.

In other news, this weekend was the 2013 Grove Bowl. I so vividly remember two years ago at the Grove Bowl getting a phone call from my mother telling me that I had gotten a letter from Ole Miss that morning. She asked me if I wanted her to open it. Of course, I said yes! I waited anxiously for what seemed like hours and then I finally heard her say "You got in." She read me the letter that said I had been accepted into the SLP graduate program at Ole Miss. It was one of the most exciting times in my life!

And now here I am... Less than one month from walking across the stage to receive that Masters degree that I have worked so hard for...

It has been quite a journey, and I am forever grateful for the love and support I have received over the past two years. Soon, so VERY VERY soon, I will be:

Amy Simmons M.S. SLP-CF

I cannot believe it.

Hotty Toddy and praise to our Heavenly Father through whom ALL things are possible. May my life forever be an offering back to Him who has given SO MUCH.

  1. I'm so happy for you, Aims! I know that you are so excited and can't wait to walk across that stage! I think you should totally wear your pink, Elle Woods outfit and yell, "We did it"!
