This weekend was a much needed break from school. Game 1 may have been a loss, but it definitely didn't keep us from having a good time!

We arrived at the Grove about 11:00. Great food, my favorite Memphians, and great Hotty Toddy spirit. At 1:30 we watched the Walk of Champions (when Houston and the team walk through the Grove) which is always fun. I love standing right next to our HUGE players- Terrell Brown is 6'11! Then, after more fun at the tent, we headed to the stadium.

I won't pretend to be some huge football enthusiast. Anyone who knows me knows that I spend the game making concession stand runs for others and looking at all of the heels and dresses in the student section. I don't have much to add to those "after the game" conversations about why "Houston can't throw the ball" and blah, blah, blah...

BUT

I do feel for our team when we lose. I may not understand the game, but I know that those guys work hard and want to win. I may not know a "down" from a "drive" but I do know that none of those guys aim to disappoint a stadium of 60,000 fans. So I will always support them, and yell as loud as I can... (when everyone else around me is, even though I 99% of the time have no idea what we're cheering about...)

So here's to next Saturday! Go Rebs!
