Clinic is over. Classes are over. Treatment reports are finalized and mailed. Now just one week of finals separates me from 6 glorious, stree-free weeks!

This weekend was a much needed "reward" to myself for finishing the semester.

Saturday Evan and I went to Ballet Memphis' 25th annual performance of... The Nutcrakcer!
It just isn't the Christmas season to me without seeing a Nutcraker. It was wonderful and beautiful as always. And with a backdrop like the Orpheum, what can be better?

I have loved going to the Orpheum for many many years now. I've never been disappointed by a production, and this one was no exception.

One of my favorite parts of Ballet Memphis' Nutcracker is that the dancers sign their "broken" pointe shoes and sell them after the performance! As a retired dancer who could only dream of ever dancing with these professionals, it is so neat to have one of these! Hours and hours of dancing are spent in these shoes. I treasure each pointe shoe I have.

After the ballet, we had dinner at The Majestic. This restaurant is great! It is very "Old Hollywood." The restaurant is in an old theater built in the 30's. A HUGE screen plays old black and white movies while you dine by candelight. The food is wonderful too!

Overall, it was a fun and relaxing weekend.

Now I shall dive head first into finals... ugh. Please hurry up, Friday!
