This is the final week of Winter Break. So sad. I have loved my extremely long break. I am not ready to go back to the crazy, hectic, stressful, no time to relax world that is known as graduate school.
For the most part of last week, I just hung around with my mom. And I have loved our time together.
One day though, I did travel down to Columbus to hang with the brother. I met up with him Wednesday after his lunch show, and we went to Louisville, MS. Population: 4
Okay well maybe I'm exaggerating... They have more than 4 people.
We went to Louisville Elementary School where THE Claire Mattox is the newest 4th grade teacher. We got to see her adorable classroom, and she told us all about "a day in the life of Ms Mattox".
So proud of you, Claire! I could never do your job.
Will and I brought Claire a "gift." (I totally stole the idea from Pinterest.)
I did a reusable plastic cup filled with Crystal Lite lemonade packets. On the tag, it said "Good luck quenching the "thirst" for knowledge!"
She seemed to really like it! I thought it would be a practical gift that she could use often.
Today I went to Oxford to spend the afternoon with some friends from football season. I hardly ever see these people outside of the Grove. It wa good to see them again.
Our friends are preparing for a chili cookoff. They invited us to come be "judges." We were all given cups numbered 1-4 and a scorecard. We tasted each chili then wrote comments and ranked our top 2.

| #1 ended up winning! (it was also my pick for first place) |
| #4 was my pick for second place |

You have NO idea how happy I was to see you two that day! I hope I didn't bore you too much with all my "teacher talk". I still have my cup with the tag on my desk. It makes me smile every time I look at it. It will be put to use VERY soon!
