Pre-Holiday Happenings

The holiday season is my absolute favorite time of year. I just love spending time with my family (and not being in school!).

Meet our newest addition Rigby! We got him last Sunday, so as of tomorrow he will have been with us for one week. He is the cutest little thing in the entire world... no really. And he is a ball of never ending energy. We already love him so much!
Mom holding Rigby the day he came home!

Will and Rigby. Rigby was fast asleep. :-)

I just love him!
We have also had a lot of trips to the hospital this past week. My dad had been suffering from severe pain due to kidney stones and eventually ended up undergoing surgery to remove them. He is doing much better now but is still recovering.

While waiting for him to come out of surgery, my mom and I came across this part of the hospital!

This is where I will be doing my externship for the spring semester! Of course I had to take a picture. Hello, future extern site! I can't wait to see what you have in store for me!

I have also spent some time with my wonderful grandparents this week!  Mimi helped me make my fall wreath into a Christmas wreath.

I reused the same mesh and ribbon, but swapped out the red flower for green and gold Christmas decor.

 Thanks, Mimi!

Today (Saturday) I spent a lot of time in the kitchen! I found a recipe on Pinterest that I wanted to try, so my mom and I braved Wal-Mart and bought ingredients.

Yet another use for my Erin Condren notepads! It's unhealthy how much I love my EC notepads...

We ended up with homemade chips, homemade guacamole, and homemade vegetable chili!
Everything was so delicious!

And for dessert we had oreo truffles! These are sooooo good. I am sure they will all be gone by tomorrow.

Days like today are my absolute favorite.

Food. Fun. Family. Laughter. Making Memories. This is what it's all about.
